GateWays Ephemera
A few years ago, my good friend Susy Whann and I had a conversation about the rich symbolism in gates as a metaphor for the various stages we all pass through in our lifetimes. Do you pass on through every gate you encounter? Do you hesitate, and then take a different route? Do you turn back? Do you move ahead but have regrets later? As a result of our talk, we created Gate Ways Ephemera.
Susy assumed the role of CFO and Marketing Director, while I became the Art Director/Photographer. Over many months from 2003 - 2004, we hiked to different areas, photographed gates that we found, printed them in my darkroom, and manufactured a set of blank cards.

The Gate Ways Companion Journal: a multi-themed journal available as an
E-book. This is our fully customizable journal for people who love to write, and it's a lovely gift when paired with a set of Gate Ways Cards.
With everyone blogging these days, we think it bears mentioning that not everything needs to be published on the Internet. So we created the Gate Ways Companion Journal, for people who like to keep their writing mostly private.
The Gate Ways Companion Journal is a 22-page framework in E-book format (a downloadable PDF file) for creating a personalized, multi-themed journal. The journal is designed in black & white, so that you can print it in on paper of your own choosing. Suitable for men and women, you just print, hole-punch and then assemble your Journal in whatever type of cover or binding you prefer.
The Companion Journal costs $12.95, and is available in two sizes: 8.5” x 11”, and 5.5” x 8.5”. (Please contact us if you would like us to consider reworking it in another size.). Of course, we know you’ll be nice and just print the set that you purchase. If you want to present the Companion Journal as a gift, we’d sure appreciate your buying an additional set of pages for the recipient.
